Love it! Chose a size 3 as I’m a UK 14 and checked measurements against my other jackets as the sizes are different because of the cut/styles. It’s a good fit and length for someone 5’6″. Agree with others that it’s not a loose fit as on the model, but that suits me as it fits nicely under my Rainbomber and Commuter. On a cold wet March day in Cambridge it was perfect with the Commuter. I’ve also worn it on it’s own on a cold sunny day. Love the quality. One slight downside as others have mentioned, is it’s heavier than you would expect if you’re travelling light and want to pack it. Still love it though!

Love this item! This is a great layering piece but also I can wear on it’s on around the house. I use it regularly when I’m out and about. Keeps me lovely and warm. Works really well under my city walker

Really love this – my only quibble is that on the model, it looks much longer than it is in reality for me. I sent back the first size to get the next one up, just to get a bit more length. but now it’s a bit looser on me. Would love it a bit longer, but really has been great for some windy walks.

I love that Protected Species items are so light but found the knitted windcheater to be surprisingly heavy as a piece to be worn under another jacket so decided not to keep it. However, it is a really nice item.

Another top quality addition to my wardrobe. I have a few PS items and just love how practical and smart they are. Nice and toasty whether worn under my jacket or on its own. If you would like it to look relaxed as it is on the model then go up a size but if it’s a slim fit you would like then it’s true to size. I can’t wait to see what the ladies come up with next. One tiny little niggle……could the wash label be black to match the lining?

I absolutely love this item. It is comfy and still looks stylish. I’ve used it by its own (for not too cold weather) and under my waterproof and winter parkas (for a bit colder days). I hope they soon launch other colours!

I took this on a weekend trip to Berlin this February. It enabled me to wear my waterproof parka during walkabouts in the city in the rain and freezing cold whilst I remained warm and toasty. Smart enough to wear alone too, maybe I should have got a larger size ( I purchased size 6-8) but didn’t want any bulk underneath my coat, I’m usually a uk size 8/10. I’m Hoping it washes okay.

I absolutely love this. It is cosy and warm yet sleek and stylish. Fits perfectly under the Parka (of which I have the khaki and navy – oops!) making them into fabulous all year jackets. Packaging and delivery was spot on as ever. Really happy I found Protected Species.

I ordered this as I love my waterproof jacket so much but its not terribly warm. This makes my jacket a four season piece now. It fits perfectly underneath. I was worried it might be too snug but it was perfect. Looks stylish too, not cardiganish if that me sense.

Another excellent style from P S. It will be a useful jacket, practical, warm and just a little bit different.

I adore my Protected Species parka and the addition of the Windcheater has made me love it even more. The windcheater is really well designed. It’s a lovely fit and is elegant. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks and I’ve already worn it a lot. It sits really well under my parka – much better than the fleece I was using before and it does what it says – it’s warm!

I did really like the idea of this item – I love my mac and to be able to wear it in winter was great proposition. Except… it’s not actually warm enough for winter, for me anyway. I was in London last weekend (January) and the wind cut through me every time we went out of our hotel. I was absolutely frozen. So a great purchase for late Autumn / early Spring but don’t rely on it for the winter months.

I was a bit worried it might be too long for my Commuter or too bulky for the slim sleeves of my mac but it’s perfect and smart enough to wear alone too. Really pleased with it.

I bought this to wear under my other Protected Species coat to add a warm layer. It’s a fantastic, well-designed jacket which is minimal and smart on its own. With the Tour coat, it gives you a proper winter coat with warm and waterproofing so it’s perfect for me. Thank you PS, you do a great job.

As with the other 2 reviewers, I love the windcheater! I have been wanting a smart but warm cardi for a while and this beauty landed in my inbox so I purchased it straightaway. It’s the usual excellent quality from Protected Species, and fits me perfectly (I’m 5’7”, 10-12, bought size 2). I love the warm pockets and the long sleeves keep my hands warm too. You won’t regret buying this if you want something warm that’s more presentable than a fleece or cardigan! And what’s not to like about Protected Species as a brand? I’m a fan!

This is everything I’d hoped it would be and more. It fits beautifully under both my other Protected Species coats but I also wear it on its own (well, with other clothes, not JUST on its own!) because it’s so understated and elegant. If it was in other colours (Navy, Khaki) I’d probably buy more because it’s a perfect jacket to slip on – smart enough to wear out and lovely and warm. Delivery was so quick I was astounded, and help from the customer service team was really prompt. Fits true to size.

Real quality feel to the windcheater. Certainly warm enough for a sunny walk in Wales recently. Only improvement would be for an inside pocket – sadly missing from the three PS coats/jackets that I have
Clare –
It is so well made!! I wasn’t sure about the sizing as the comments had said it was slim fit. It is, but has stretch, and because I also need it to wear under coats for extra warmth, it is perfect for that. But actually it is so nice that I know I will wear it when the weather warms up too. Really glad it has pockets. Overall, so impressed with the quality of it, and how quick the delivery was. Can’t wait for another of my son’s rugby matches so I can wear it!!

It’s a brilliant addition to the range – makes my City Walker a year-round jacket.

I absolutely love it! I was worried about whether it would suit me because I’m only 5’3″ tall. The customer service helped me get rid of my anxiety. Brilliant! I agree with previous reviewer. Knitted Windcheater is elegant, slim fit and very warm. A bit heavier than I thought, though. I can’t wait to wear this under City Walker.

I was delighted to receive the knitted windcheater so promptly and I am really delighted with it. It is slim and neat and very warm. It fits under even your winter parka very comfortably for an extremely cold day and of course under your other jackets and coats (of which I have 2). I could not recommend it more highly- it’s like a windproof fleece that is much more elegant being made of the wool mix.
