what the people say
In the few weeks since I bought this it’s accompanied me to important meetings, up a hill in Scotland in the pouring rain, cycling to work, and out for cocktails. It’s worked perfectly in all these situations and kept me warm and dry – notably when others’ “proper waterproofs” have failed - (Jen)
This is my second Protected species parka – I justified getting one in a different colour based on how often I wear it! After reverting to an old jacket for a few days, I really noticed the difference in comfort and really missed the stretch in the lining of my PS parka – it just feels so much nicer to wear. Added to this, compared to other performance rainwear, in my opinion, it’s by far the most stylish – love it! (Susan G)
I have three PS coats. A parka, a winter parka and a mac. They are the most versatile coats that I have ever purchased and rarely wear anything other than a PS coat. Totally waterproof and wind proof and an absolute joy to wear. Another bonus is that this company offers unbeatable customer service. (Sharon Roberts)
The search is over… This is the coat I have been looking for! It is comfortable, chic and 100% waterproof. The fabric is soft and doesn’t feel like usual waterproof fabric. A flattering, draped cut means it is elegant and the zipped pockets and a large, foldaway hood make it entirely practical - (Indie)
Customer service by email (Abigail) and over the phone (Rebecca) was outstanding! I absolutely recommend this item in your wardrobe: love the colour, the cut and the quality is superb! Thank you for designing this 🙂 (Claudia)
Love this jacket. Wore it nearly non-stop through to winter and lots of people commented on it. Great for walks, saw me through school sports day (always inclement in west of Scotland) and smart enough for work. Feels so soft, looks great and yet completely practical, a great investment.(Diane Wilson)
I love it. It’s just arrived this morning so I haven’t had a chance to try it out, but frankly I don’t care. I’ve tried it on and it just looks amazing - (Tricia)
I have just received my “Commuter” absolutely delighted! Fits really well. There is room for an extra layer in winter weather without taking anything away from its stylish looks. Material is so tactile! This is my second “Protected Species” buy. Eldest daughter has all 4 designs, younger daughter has just purchased her second. They design practical jackets with a modern twist that are suitable for all age groups.Customer service is excellent.
This is my second purchase as I bought the City Walker first which I love. The Commuter is the longer version and Iove the simplicity: the collar is stylish and the zip hidden. When zipped it is sleek and when left open the collar hangs nicely. The material shouts quality. I was asked by a colleague how I always look so ‘put together’ (Patricia)
This really is an amazing jacket. I’ve used it all winter. I wasn’t as keen on the fabric at first – it does have a soft and to be honest, luxurious feel, but I’d had a coat previously that felt similar and used to get very static, so I was expecting the same with this. I’m glad to say I’ve not had a problem with static, and best of all, it has been completely waterproof, which amazes me. I’ve paid quite a bit in the past for coats that are supposed to be waterproof and aren’t. Anyway, this is great, looks smart and is waterproof (Frances Kimber)
I have owned this jacket for a few weeks now, and can honestly say that it has become my favourite jacket. The pictures can’t capture how soft and luxurious it feels. I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews singing its praises. Please don’t change anything about this. Just more colours please ? (Ali)
The fit is picture perfect and while I am just over the moon, there is one certain little detail that deserves special mention: the tie belt that comes with stud fastening to the rear (to avoid loss) … or generally the belt developing a mind (and life) of its own. in short: the coolest and mos stylish Mac I’ve ever owned, I guess even being caught in a real heavy downpour won’t be such an ordeal while safely wrapped up it it. Thank you so much for this fabulous garment and keep up your excellent work. (Josie Richards)
