“Cool wang-like outdoor gear, love it!”
- J Anderson12th May 2026Rated 4 out of 5Love the total stretch fabric and the fact that is pretty much noiseless - and the deep olive colour. Also that it is indeed waterproof and windproof, and styles up or down easily depending on how you want to wear it. Not so keen on the shiny gunmetal hardware. When hands are cold and wet the toggles are quite fiddly - hard to grip and manoeuvre. Also this style is cut high under the arm. Given that most current knitwear is generous in the sleeves and generally quite bulky I would have appreciated the underarm being placed lower. All in all however, I love it and feel ready for anything when I've got it on.Waterproof Parka Dark Olive
- [email protected]23rd April 2026Rated 5 out of 5I finally bought the Trench and I absolutely love it!!! I’ve had strangers stop me in the street to compliment it, friends comment on it every time we’re out, and I find myself telling everyone about the incredible fabric and how cleverly designed it is. It’s rare to find something so practical yet still so smart and sleek; it’s the perfect black trench to wear in the city, even with a dress. Truly one of the most versatile things in my wardrobe. Thank you for creating something so thoughtful, beautiful, and enduring.Waterproof Trench Black
- Cara17th April 2026Rated 5 out of 5The Harrington is AMAZING - thoughtful design, great attention to detail. Perfect for Spring/Summer. Portland Stone is such a warm neutral, really goes with everything. I love being able to remove the hood, giving 2 different styles, and there are so many other great details: ability to change sleeves, cinch in etc. Def takes you from dog walk to office to town with ease. I instantly feel more elevated and cool in my new coat - love!Waterproof Harrington Portland Stone
- Lynda1st April 2026Rated 5 out of 5I bought the Quest in November last year, a light weight jacket making it ideal for spring, summer and autumn seasons. However, it is also most suitable for the less colder climes during the winter months, with either merino wool layering, a down jacket or their knitted wool wind-cheater for country walks or cashmere/alpaca sweaters for smart casual. Good visibility colour when it gets dark too. A versatile comfortable jacket that allows you to move freely despite any layering and an easy oversized look without the layers. Functional, Packable, Stylish......Love it 🙃Waterproof Quest Atmosphere White
- Cheryl16th March 2026Rated 5 out of 5This waterproof rain jacket is EXCELLENT. Everything about it is excellent. I love the flowing lightweight fabric, the very chic design and the ease of wearing. The workmanship is absolutely first class. One of the best items I’ve bought and worth every penny.Waterproof City Walker Portland Stone
- Suzie15th February 2026Rated 5 out of 5I was unsure about sizing for the Odyssey parka as I'm generally a UK 14 but sometimes edge into a 16, emailed Protected Species who replied super quick and recommended a size M which was spot on. I dealt with Rebecca, explained it would be fantastic if I had my coat for the coming weekend as was away and weather looked very rainy, coat arrived practically the next day (thank you Rebecca 🙏🏼) and I love it, definitely waterproof and feels more dressy and stylish that coats I've bought in the past. I went for the olive, fleece-free version as I wanted to wear outside of winter, plenty of room to layer underneath and comes down to mid-shin length so good coverage (I'm 5'3). Can't fault the process from start to finish and would highly recommend, thank you Protected Species!Waterproof Odyssey Dark Olive
- Mary Cooper23rd January 2026Rated 5 out of 5I’m not a dog walker or hiker any more, but I do walk a good deal in an urban area. I’ve recently been caught in some very heavy showers which have soaked my trouser legs so I was interested to try a longer length like The Odessey coat. I know the quality of this brand as I already own a PS bomber which is warm and lightweight and wonderfully packable. At first I was unsure about the fullness of this coat, but actually it’s rather stylish and it would transition from a sensible and highly protective daytime raincoat to an elegant, drapey coat for an outdoor evening event, especially when dressed up with a brightly coloured silk scarf. I’m about 5 foot 4 in height and slightly built, so I bought a size 1 (10-12) in warm taupe. The length is perfect for me. It slso allows for my thickest sweater under it for extra warmth. I like to wear gloves usually, so was slightly disconcerted by the sensible wrist poppers, which are so snug they don’t really allow for a glove. So I simply turned the sleeves back slightly and they look fine. Another good feature is that the integrated hood has a tightening toggle right at the back which enables you to draw the hood closely around the head if you wish - for extra protection. All in all, I’m really pleased with this coat and hope to wear it for many a heavy shower in the future!Waterproof Odyssey Warm Taupe
- Gaynor Maloney10th November 2025Rated 5 out of 5Wow! I love this parka , so different to anything else , stylish , lovely fabric ,great design and quality , haven’t been out in it yet as only ordered yesterday and it’s arrived next day !! - CLARE5th November 2025Rated 5 out of 5As others have said, this is a lovely mackintosh, a rare combination of style and serious waterproof-ness. The material has a very luxuriant quality and it is so nice to put on and swish around in that it is hard to believe that it is also so practical. LIghtweight, and roomy too. Only thing to bear in mind is that if it gets very wet, it will take a while to dry afterwards (but you won't because you will not be wet!).Waterproof Odyssey Dark Olive
- Carol Douglas1st November 2025Rated 5 out of 5I am absolutely delighted with this purchase. The customer service was excellent. I asked for a delay in shipping of two weeks as we were out of the country. As soon as we were back I received notification that the parcel was out for delivery and it arrived the next day. The quality , fit and style are all outstanding. Particularly excellent value as the colour was reduced to £ 99.Waterproof Parka Cityscape
- Karmen21st October 2025Rated 5 out of 5I have had a PS coat for 3 years and still am both stylish and dry from the rain. The quality is brilliant. Love my red commuter coat and get a lot of compliments. I love that I can still see with the hood up- particularly as I am not the tallest so often can't see taller people I am talking to in other hoods! The only modification I would make would be to be able to zip or button in a warm lining into it to wear it through the winter for longer.Waterproof Parka Dark Olive
- Ellen27th September 2025Rated 5 out of 5I have had this coat for around 7 years now and it's still going strong, even after heavy use in one of the wettest parts of the UK! Having a coat that is waterproof but light is amazing, it's easy to fit in a bag and you're not overheating all summer in a winter jacket. I'll definitely be buying again as mine is looking a little bit shabby now, although it's still waterproof and has no sign of any real damage. I've definitely got my money's worth out of this!Waterproof City Walker Night Sky Navy
- Karen Taylor24th September 2025Rated 5 out of 5Absolutely love my new jacket. Went for the burnt horizon colour which is a lovely dark rusty red. It’s so well made and I’ve worn it twice in heavy rain and it just rolls off the material. The style is gorgeous and I’ve had lots of compliments. Highly recommend!!Waterproof City Walker Burnt Horizon Jacket
- Karen10th September 2025Rated 5 out of 5I reviewed when I first received my beautiful City Walker, but wanted to add an update- I am currently in the Scottish Islands and the jacket has kept me warm and dry through two massive rains! I'm wearing it with rain pants and hiking boots but it's also stylish enough for the cities. It's such a a nicer option than the bulkier and "sporty" looking parkas surrounding me 🙂Waterproof City Walker Storm Dark Grey
- Cm8th September 2025Rated 5 out of 5Comfortable, extremely lightweight but not looking at all flimsy. I live in Scotland and shall no doubt be putting it the test shortly! 😉Waterproof Odyssey Warm Taupe
