WATERPROOF- Waterproof rating in excess of 15,000mm (3 x British standards requirements for waterproofing)- WINDPROOF-The innovative waterproof membrane prevents cold air from penetrating the fabric, providing a protective warm shell in windy conditions
- BREATHABLE- A technical microporous membrane allows body moisture to move quickly through the jacket avoiding any build up of sweat (unlike rubber or PU jacket options)
- SEAM SEALED - Every seam has been fully sealed with a waterproof tape to ensure no water passes through any stitch holes
- HOOD- Every jacket in the collection has a removable or stowable ergonomically cut 3-way adjustable hood. This delivers full visibility, coverage and secures tightly in high winds
- STRETCH- Soft, fluid 4-way stretch fabric delivers complete comfort in wear and no restriction in movement
Technology
Our feminine four-way stretch outer fabric has been laminated to a high performance microporous membrane which stops any water molecules passing through the fabric - even in the stormiest of conditions. Unlike PU or rubber forms of waterproofing our technology imperatively allows your body to breathe (body moisture molecules can move through the membrane avoiding a build-up of sweat inside your jacket). The result is a soft, fluid, comfortable technical jacket with no noisy rustle in movement and no restriction in wear…. whatever the season. setting, or activity.
Sustainability
Made from recycled yarns and manufactured by a team who work differently. We collaborate closely with our female owned factory who specialise in slow, high quality manufacturing. Employing friends and family, and with each person expertly trained in all skills, one person often completes our garments from start to finish. Our fabric mill is Oeko-tex and blue sign certified and additionally publicly declare their own carbon footprint with a mission to constantly reduce.
Additional Sizing Help
The Typhoon is fuller in the hip than our Waterproof Parka and offers extra movement at the thigh when closed. We recommend choosing your standard high street size. The model is 5ft 9 inches and wears a size 12. For further help please don’t hesitate to drop us a message at [email protected]

- Free UK delivery & returns - Order by 2pm and your jacket will be out on our next day delivery service.
- Free delivery to Switzerland - A return charge of CHF22 will be deducted from your original invoice if a refund is required. All duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer. Your parcel will take up to 5 days to be delivered

I already have a City Walker, so I know the quality of the brand. I’d been looking for a waterproof coat that I covered my bottom and thighs, and that wasn’t too thick. I’m 5 foot tall and a typical size 11! The length is perfect, above the knee at the front, on the knee at the back. I bought a size 2 in this (same as my City Walker), but I wasn’t sure it sat completely right, and I also wanted to be able to layer under it for warmth. I sized up to a size 3 and it’s perfect, sits really lovely, I can get a decent jumper or fleece under it. It’s really smart when it needs to be (a wet and windy funeral last week!). Ticks all the boxes. Looking forward to getting a Winter Parker next year, as I left it too late this year.

I’ve never experienced a rain jacket like this! This is the answer to my jacket dreams…a waterproof jacket that’s comfortable, stylish, and high quality. Being petite, I especially appreciate the adjustable cuffs and waist feature. The hood is the first hood I’ve had that I can adjust properly so I can see where I’m going. While thin, I find the jacket shields very well against the cold and wind. I bought the knitted windcheater to pair under the jacket on colder days, and this will be my go-to fall/spring jacket duo.

I’d suggest sizing up so you can fit plenty of layers underneath if need be. Folds easily for travel too.

This is a fantastic raincoat. It is so hard to find something properly waterproof that is smart and stylish. The material is so soft and it hangs very well. It had its first outing today in the rain with a light jacket underneath and it performed well. I originally ordered a 12 which is my usual size in coats but it was slightly snug so I changed for a 14. Many thanks to Abigail for sorting this so quickly and efficiently.

If you have reluctantly put a “mac” over a smart outfit because the weather dictates it, Protected Species could be the answer.
